Some sharp observations on the nature of transitional societies on the legal blog of a Romanian colleague Emanuel Teodoru (http://emanuel.teodoru.com/2010/the-problem-with-romania/comment-page-1/#comment-3). I supported his take with a following comment; I would add that the mania for stamping the stuff might be Turkish or Austro-Hungarian hangover and is certainly a substitute for the incompetent administration, and that these and other ills are at the same time both profoundly European and universally transitional. I am sure that the reality is actually worse than your politely measured approach shows. I refuse to accept such status quo in my country and this is to support you. As the entry on my blog on transition is written in Croatian (Tranzicija), you might wish to check the one on the Rule of Law: (http://mladenvukmir.blogsome.com/2009/11/09/rule-of-law/). Cheers.
